Database Question

Hi
If I add Sitesculptor to an existing database will it erase whats already there, or add its elements as well as the current content?

ie. I have a MySQL database on my hosting server, and its used for a clients PowerStore site. I want to use this databse for a Site Sculptor Site, can I do this?

There are some common tables between the two. The best way to do this might be to start by backing up both of the databases, then try exporting the data from your Site Sculptor db into your PowerStore db. If it is just the data the tables and their structure should remain the same but with the new records. The only time this might be an issue is if there are duplicate values in the db.

I would suggest giving this a try only after you backup the current db, if you make any changes without the backup first you will not be able to undo what you have done.
