Search Engine Indexing and Ranking

Slightly off topic
I've built a site for a client. The client purchased 8 variant names for the site.
The names all point to the same directory at my hosting company.
Do I, or Do I not;
Submit each site name as a separate site to Google, Yahoo et.al?

I ask because after having done so the site is not ranking AT ALL.
And Google sees all the links but hasn't indexed any.
Even though the sitemap and crawl rate stats all check out OK in Webmaster Tools.

site is www.animal-imaging-partners.com/

Mick

Sorry for bringing this up here but didn't know where else to ask.

Hey Mick,

No worries, we're glad to help where we can. To answer your question I would urge against submitting all 8 domain names to the search engines as one will do the trick and you are not going to receive any additional benefit from submitting each individual domain name.

The good news is that Google has indeed crawled your website. I found a few pages of your site (approximately 7), through a search with the following keyword: "animal-imaging-partners.com." Take a look at the following blog post for a quick overview of three different methods you can take for ensuring your website is found by search engines (it looks like you've taken the first step):

You seem to mention below that you have a sitemap, however I did not see one for this website. I would urge you to have both an XML and HTML sitemap, which will help search engines locate all the pages of your website. We have a great Roadmap which covers the importance of XML and HTML sitemaps:
