Shipping Calculations

I have used the eCart checkout wizard a couple of times now and I am unable to get the shipping features to work.

During the wizard, I enter my USPS user name just as it requests and I also noticed that there is additional information that is automatically populated in a text field below which I do not understand, but assume is necessary. I also realized that the wizard does not request my user name password, which begs the question: how does eCart know to access USPS rates if it is unable to access my USPS account?

Am I missing a step? Thank you for your time in addressing my issue.

It is just requesting a quote, not actually paying for the shipping or anything, so it just needs the User ID to request it. What is happening when you have shipping applied? Do you have a url where I can see the behavior that is occurring?
