Cannot Access Admin After Install

Cannot Access Admin After Install

I installed PS 3.0 per instructions but I cannot gain access to the admin or superadmin functions of my page.

I am obviously using the correct info and I have already deleted and reinstalled and have the same issue.

When I enter an incorrect password I get the normal "That user name or password is not correct. Please try again" message.

When I enter the correct info however I do not get this message but it returns me to the login page and I am unable to update my site at all.

Any suggestions? This is strange indeed.

Thanks!

I just confirmed I have the correct login info from accessing MySQL info.

What can i do to start editing my site if I cannot access back-end of web site?

Thanks

For the login to work, the server must have session management properly configured.

Upload the sessionTest.php file from the following thread to test the servers session management settings:
showpost.php?p=23826&postcount=2

If the session test fails, you will need to contact the host to have them correct the issue. If the session passes, please let us know and we will look into the issue further.

Looks like my server failed...

Session Test = NULL

I am contacting the host now. DO I just tell them to check server management settings or what?

Thanks!

Most likely it is the session.save_path setting.

But they should be able to get a good sense of the issue by testing the sessionTest.php page and examining the code.
