SAGEPAY and ECART5

I am doing my first E Cart 5 and have all working up to checkout form. I am running the checkout Wizard.

I have selected Use Credit Cards and then Sagepay VSP form

I am being asked for the Vendor Name and the Encryption password. Where do I get the encryption password from or do I just set one up myself here ? There is no help in the help file

Thanks

John

You should be able to obtain these values from your merchant gateway provider. Have you logged in and tried to get these values? They should have them available to you and provide you with documentation for them.

Checkout problems

Thanks Eric. I have now worked trough the Checkout Wizard. I am using SAGEPAY FORM to process on their server.

Two Problems

Your Submitted form URL which is created in the Checkout Wizard is incorrect and sends to a simulator account.

I am told by sage the form should be sent to vspform-register.vsp

So I have amended this and the form confirm.php is now sending there - but apparently to work the form needs the Shipping Information as well as the Billing information for it to work on the latest version.

Please advise how I can add this to the form to be submitted and why it isnt in the Checkout Wizard so the form submits all required information correctly.

Can you also please tell me how the client can access the stored orders from the database - or does he get a copy of the e mailed Order with the customer

I havent set up an e mail receipt form but I understood this was all done by the Checkout Wizard. So I presume the e mailed confirmation is sent by Universal e mail from a form created during the checkout wizard. Is this correct ?

Confused as I thought this was all supposed to be automated on the Checkout Wizard.

Thanks

John

In regards to the URL that the form is submitting to I think this is correct to post to the simulator first for testing, then to update it to the live server after you are getting success. For the missing fields what information is not included currently that needs to be present? Please post back with this info along with some details about the steps that you took while in the wizard so we can check on these things.

You need to fill in the part of the wizard for sending the email receipt to get this option, but it will not be available to you on a remote checkout. If you would like to add in the email for a remote checkout you would need to do so manually by applying it to the page you send yours users after the transaction.

If you filled in the database section of the checkout wizard and specified what tables to store the details in then it should also be storing the details of the order in your db. Do you have a specific need to use the VSP Form? In general I recommend using a local checkout like VSP Server if it is possible.

Missing

I have spoken with Sagepay and they day that the "Shipping Address " has to be sent t the server to allow entry to Form

I only chose form as the wizard didnt suggest I should use server. Am I better using this ? If so will it automatically e mail the cart to myclient and the purchaser ? Please advise

I will run through the wizard again using Server

Thanks

Yes, I would absolutely recommend using the VSP sever over the form method. The Server method is a local checkout, meaning that the user will be on your site when the transaction occurs. It will make for a better user experience, easier integration, and more features to be available.

To have it send the emails make sure that your UE4 is installed before you start the checkout wizard. Also, before you run the checkout wizard you should update your orders table with these three extra columns:

VendorTransCode
VPSTransID
SecurityKey

They do not need to be named like this, infact it may be better to use only lowercase letters. Once you have these columns in the orders table you should be able to proceed with the checkout wizard. It is very important when you get to the order management area that you fill this part out and specify the values for these three new columns in your orders table. When you finish it should create the pages for you and if you fill in the email portion of the checkout wizard it should add the code to do this as well.

Thanks but...

Thank you Eric

I have added 3 columns in both PHP admin locally and on the Webserver

vendortranscode
vpstransid
securitykey

All in lower case as above. I have se them as TEX as you didnt specify. Is this ok ?

Yeah, text or a varchar type would be best for this, maybe just set them to varchar(255).
