Cannot upload file while inserting record to database

Using Data Assist, I created forms to insert and update a database. From the insert page I need to be able to upload files as well. I applied the file manipulation/upload to content_Insert.php, but it won't upload. I created a test page upload.php with only the upload and it works fine. I have attached the file.

Thanks,

Jack

It looks like you have multiple image/file uploads on one page but I only see on Digital File Pro behavior. You will need to create upload behaviors for each file... then you will also be able to generate the server file names to store in the database.

Brian

also, the forms encoding type must be set to multipart/form-data.

change the form tag:

php:
<form  action="content_Insert.php" method="post" name="WADAInsertForm" id="WADAInsertForm">

to:

php:
<form  action="content_Insert.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" name="WADAInsertForm" id="WADAInsertForm">

Thanks, Jason. It worked. I went in and added all the other uploads. Thanks again.

Hi There!

I'm having the same problem. I followed the instructions on this page: dfp_da_insert_update_ht.pdf

All of the other form inserts are working but the files won't upload. Could it be a server/database permission problem? I'll attach my insert page here.

Thanks!

Carlene

it could be a permission problem, make sure the permissions on the upload directory "images/sitelogos/" grant write permissions to all users.
