My Web expression 3 will not install the PayPal Button add in. Any help at all is appreciated.

Expression Web 3 is not a supported platform for this add in. You will have to upgrade to Expression Web 4 to be able to install this add in.

using PayPal for EW4

I have downloaded EW 4 and it will not let me do anything until I give the API credentials. I am doing a new website and the client does not have a PayPal account yet. Do I have to set up his PayPal account before I can make the PayPal button in the program?

PayPal Buttons for Expression Web 4.0

Am I missing something??? Your help PDFs reference Dreamweaver for the Expression Web 4.0 PayPal buttons. So, what to do?
I did download the .xadd file. So now what?

Yes, you will have to set up the PayPal account before you can use the extension to create add to cart buttons for that account.

PayPal Buttons for Expression Web 4.0

Your PDFs for this product reference Dreamweaver and not Expression Web. I downloaded the .xadd file but now what??? The support seems linked to Dreamweaver and not to EW-4 at all.

As you noted most of our products are DW extensions and stand alone solutions. The new buttons for PayPal addin for Expression Web 4 is the only add in that we currently offer for ExWeb 4.

Once you download the file you need to open your ExWeb and go to Tools > Add ins then click on install. Just browse to the file you downloaded after this.

Once it is installed you bring up the pane from the WebAssist menu.

How to install it and use it are covered in the two videos that we have for this product. The installing video can be found on the Expression Web Add In page at the top where it says Video: Understanding Add-Ins. Here is a link to this page:

The other video we have that demos some usage of the tool can be found on the 'Payment Buttons for PayPal' page in the feature tour, here is a link to this page:

Please let us know if you have any questions or if you encounter any problems.

The ExWeb 4 will make use of the xadd type file, not the msi. What is the problem you are having with the activation, is there any error messages? Please post back and describe the troubles you are having with this so that we can help you get past it.
