eCart 5/confirm page fails to load payment page

I've uploaded my site and all works beautifully except when I click on the checkout button on the confirm page the payment page does not open and I get this error:

The following errors have occurred.
(99) This transaction cannot be accepted.

I'm not certain of what to do. Any suggestions?

I'm using authorize.Net as my gateway, and I've checked the credential info and it all seems to be okay.

Are you using the simulator or the live api? This error seems to only occur with the simulator. If you try updating your credentials to live credentials and testing it, you might get better results.

It appears that this error means that your Transaction Key is not correct and you should contact Authorize.net to have them check on the Login information and Transaction Key.

Jimmy,

My ignorance is embarrassing, but I'm just trying a transaction. I don't believe a simulator is involved. Is this api? How do I update credentials to live credentials.

I'm going to contact the gateway do as you say, but will be happy for any further light and knowledge. Thanks.

Once you have contacted the payment gateway, I can instruct you further on how to modify the credentials to the live ones.

Jimmy,

As I was checking the accuracy of the gateway's transaction key in the PHP code on the confirm page, I discovered a space between the last character in the key and the closing (") mark. I deleted the space and everything worked well. I wanted to get back to you ASAP, so that you can get on to others. Many thanks.

Issue not resolved

Jimmy, I just saw this post. Please note that I have another thread, because this issue involved remote processing. I've now reset the site for local processing and the issue is that I cannot get the order receipt page to render. Details, including the zip files you asked for are in the other thread. Hope you get this. This issue will finish the site.
