Edit Themes

When I edit the theme for my site, specifically changing the color for "hover" and "active" menus and apply the changes they do not 'take' with the template that I am editing, i.e. they don't show and when I reopen, the changes are not present. What's the catch?

Do you have any other specifics? Have you maybe recently upgraded fro CS4 to CS5, etc. Had you edited any of the menu outside of the extension dialog boxes, etc.?

Best regards,

Brian

Is this only happening on a template? Have you tried other templates to see if its something specific with your particular template? Can you attach the template so we can do some testing on it?

Theme not changing

I have only two templates and I'm getting the same result on both. This system does not let me upload .dwt or .html files. Here's a site that uses one of the templates. The template is home.dwt. conbrendec.net/

You can zip up the files and attach them. Are you able to make the changes when applying to a blank page (one that doesn't have a template attached)?

Same problem

I also find the same problem.. Changes are not saved even when you select to overwrite a custom preset.

Other problems include the arrow graphic showing on all links even if there is not a second tier subset of links.

Found a few other problems but moving to hand edit the code rather than waste time looking for a solution in the extension. Hopefully some latter release will address many of the current problems.

The arrow is always going to be there. It is just part of the design.

If you could provide steps to reproduce the errors you found, then we'll be able to reproduce them and fix them. If we don't know which errors you are running into, we will not be able to fix them.

Hello,
I guess this is an example of how poor design is unimpeded when there are no formal rules or a lack of understanding of standards created by common and mass usage.

A small triangle on a link has always been the mark/understanding that there is more content and means the link can expand. Somehow thinking the graphic is better suited as a design element shows a lack of understanding of how Design is more than just graphic placement.

This might be a good example of testing to see if the template can be changed to only show the triangle on an A href element... I'll do a test if I can find some free time.
