Registration page - check new username not working

Registration page - check new username not working

In attempting to upgrade security on the Register page by adding password encryption I deleted the "Insert Record" behavior as instructed in the video and inserted a new "Insert Record" behavior using DataAssist (also as instructed). The check user function doesn't and when I double click on that server behavior I get the message:

The Insert Record server behavior used by this behavior has been deleted. Either delete this behavior or add an Insert Record Behavior.

What can I do?

Did you modify the form and remove the hidden form field for MM_insert? This is how the check new user works, if there is a hidden form element with this name that has a value it should still work the same.

If you check in the code you should make sure that this code appears before the insert server behavior does. If you have any further trouble with this post back with the page in question.

Still not working

I followed the instructions on the Mark Fletcher video (I thought), but it's still not working. The page is attached (in .pdf - too large to attach as text). Maybe the "MM_insert" is misplaced or something, or maybe the encryption process is changed from those videos (the DataAssist Wizard sure looks different!)

Thanks for the help!

More on the registration page

I deleted and recreated the Security Assist registration pages and all but the email page worked as planned before updating them for encryption, so there must be something about the Mark Fletcher instruction on the registration page that's changed. I hope you can figure it out, because I'd really like the added security of encryption I think.

Thanks

The pdf version of the page seems ok, but when I try to examine the code I'm having some trouble due to the formatting. If you can please post back with this page where the check new username is not working in a zip archive so I can see the page just as you do. I will then be able to check some things out for you.
