UE4 headaches

Hi,
after spending hours and hours trying and trying again, i hope you will find what's wrong...

I have a form which submit to himself, made using Form Builder. It works. The file will be included into another one and there is no problem with that.

The problem is that it is impossible to apply UE4. As soon as it is applied, i get a red warning and if try to re-enter UE4, it is all empty. If i try to submit the form, it only goes again to the first page with all the fields blank. Sometimes an email is received with only a "0" in it.

I have tried several of combinations : "Create a file for your email", "Edit", "DW Edit"..., float, block, ...

Sometimes files a created with an incremented suffix in the /webassist/email folder, sometimes there are not created at all, sometimes i get javascript errors...

So i finally erased /email content folder and other email template files automaticaly created and revert to my backup, tried again, and...here am i, tired of loosing so much time...

Another bug, not critical, but anoying ; the preview doesn't work anymore, it always show the same static image at this location : file:///C:/Users/esphera/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Dreamweaver%20CS4/fr_FR/Configuration/WAUE_HTML.htm which does not update anymore....

Do you have any previous versions of Digital File Pro or Universal Email installed? If so you will need to make sure that they are uninstalled before using the new UE4.

It sounds like you may have a problem with the cache file or a corrupt configuration folder. Here are the steps you can take to overcome these issues.

Delete cache file
common_installation_issues.pdf

Corrupt config
showpost.php?p=12293&postcount=2

After you have gone through the steps here for these make sure to remove any of the remaining extensions, then try installing UE4 again and test it out. If you encounter any further problems, especially js errors make sure to post back with the full and exact error you are getting.

Thanks for helping. You were right i had DFP still installed (i thought i had remove it, sorry. Anyway it seems it wasnt the cause of the problem...)

I have deleted Wincache File, renamed Config Folder, uninstalled all extensions and re-installed the newest ones, taking care not to install DFPro with UE4 and Validation Toolkit with FormBuilder.

And it still does'nt work !! As soon as the Email is applied i get the error. I made a video record of what i do so can exactly know the process i follow i maybe see if i am doing something wrong.

I have lost several days and will have to deliver the site to the client soon so i hope the solution is "close" ;-)

I cannot get the movie to play beyond 13 seconds. After installing all of the extensions again have you gone back and deleted the cache file again? You should make sure to do this after you have the extensions installed.

Are you getting the same error you were getting before or is it a new error? If you can post back and include the details about the steps you are taking or if you can post a video or screenshots of the steps you are taking it would help us to determine if this is part of the problem.

I deleted the cache again. Absolutely no changes ! Same error then before uninstalling and doing all the stuff. Only No more Javascript error. Still a warning sign immediatly in the server behavior tab and unable to get the extension working correctly...

PS : Did you have a look at the souce code attached in first thread ? Did you notice something ?

It seems that there were a couple of issues in play with the problems occurring. The first problem that was causing the validation name values to not be generated properly was a result of updating the name of the page and editing the form on the page after it had been created.

The other problem with Universal Email not working correctly was due to the page name containing _self in it. This should be avoided. I wil log these issues so they can be looked into further.
