Transaction not completed...?

Transaction not completed...?

How do I troubleshoot a transaction not completed? I am using penny transactions and my real credit card and I can get to the place where it is supposed to go to confirm, but it goes to failure...

I have tried to remove all sandbox links but would it go this route if something is still linked to the sandbox?

BTW, can I use my own Personal Sandbox account (email and faked credit card) to test a transaction if I have sandbox turned off?'

I don't live in NY, and I need to test the sales tax for NY but if I use my real address to work with my credit card, it will not be seen as a valid address...

You can add error messages to the failure page to find out more about why the error occurs.

Go to bindings and click the plus button then go to eCart->local checkout response and choose the part of the process that is sending you to the failure page. Then you can drag and drop more information about why the error occurs.

10002
Failure
Security header is not valid

Does that mean that the API is incorrect for the cart?
DOes Paypal change the API for direct payments every time the client changes her password?

This means the username, password, or security key is incorrect.

Okay, I figured and got that fixed, but now it is forcing an express checkout to paypal. I'm on the checkout page, and filling in the card info, but it is forcing me to Express Paypal login when I click check out. I set the express the Checkout With Paypal button to express checkout (she wants to keep it now) and the Checkout button to Direct Payments, BUT when clicking the latter it still goes to the paypal login...

I tried deleting that info in Paypal Express in step 5, but I cannot eliminate it. It is still greyed out... as in my Jing demo. It requires this info or it will not finish...

How the heck do I get both options to work? BTW, I had to add a direct payments server behavior to this page because it was not added when it was created...

I'm using checkout.php and not pp_checkout.php...

I followed the steps for requesting an API in the client's Profile, and I don't see anywhere I was asking for an express api... just regular api credentials with signature...

express checkout code is on the checkout.php page and the pp_confirm.php page.

The express checkout feature in the local checkout is because paypal actually requires express checkout on a direct payment form according to thier EULA... or at least they used to.

Anyway don't worry about express checkout settings on the confirm.php page. There is really no code associated with express checkout on that page.

I don't understand.... The Pro version of Website Payments is supposed to be seamless with credit card info. Instead of seeing the confirm page and being able to submit my order by clicking the button, it is jumping directly to the express page. I have had to change the button submit, but I cannot get it to go anywhere but that Paypal interference...

I wonder if Safari is holding code in the background and not refreshing with new uploads. This time it almost worked but something happened with the attempt to store the order info...

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '@petersonsales.net, OrderShipping = 0, OrderTax = 0, OrderTotal = 0.01, OrderDat' at line 1

It appears that the email info is not being stored. I have it as a varchar and I believe it is considered a text field in eCart..

The orders are going through, but not being stored, nor am I redirected to the success page...because of the syntax error.

Looks like an error in the data type for the column before OrderShipping... looks like the email column... from what I can tell you have it specified as a number field but you are setting it to an email address. The column name isn't in the error, maybe the userID field?

It was set to int by the default install from eCart. However the Columns in the eCart Object show ID as text... In the Store Cart Summary , the OrderID is set to Numeric... with the Value set to session Cart 'ID' Field... so I have a mix match...

So I guess I need to know which is the proper format for the way WA is creatiing the order IDs? It is set as the unique value in the eCart object.

Thanks for all the help again today Ray.
