Paypal Canada

Hi,

I've just upgraded from eCart 4 to eCart 5.

One of the new feature is the support for Paypal Canada... Do I need to do something special in order to use it?

Here's what I did:
- when I created the eCart object, I selected French as the language and $ CAD as the symbol currency. I guess this should be enough to say that it's in CAD...
- when I used the Checkout wizard, there was only one option for Paypal: credit card with Paypal... We have the choice between Express checkout and Marchant Pro... so I chose Express checkout

It seems to work fine, but when I test (I enabled the Paypal sandbox... is it just in the US?), it says that the currency is in USD instead of CAD...

Bug to correct

I found the problem: when we use the checkout wizard, it correctly puts the CAD currency_code for the Express checkout button (on the checkout.php page), but when it creates the confirm.php page, it still puts USD as currency_code.

So, please correct that bug for later releases...

I just tested and wasn't able to reproduce the same issue. What settings did you specify in the wizard other than the default values? What payment gateway did you choose?

First, I used the demo site that came with eCart 4 (which is the same as eCart 3, I think).

In the cart.php page, I added the Display Manager with the default values.

In that page (since it has a checkout button) I used the Checkout Wizard.

On the first screen, I chose the first option (Accept credit cards and Paypal). On the second screen, I selected the left one (Paypal Website Payments Standard). Entered my ID, unchecked "I will provide shipping", checked "No thanks, I'll handle tax calculation myself" (since I won't charge tax). The order option on next screen wasn't available (since I unchecked the shipping checkbox earlier). I chose the Crisp design. On last screen, I used the default value and I checked the "Use PayPal sandbox server for testing" and clicked Finish.

So, it created my pages, but the confirm.php page had a USD currency_code instead of CAD.

For the eCart object, I had selected French as language and $ CAD as currency symbol.

Is it the Complete Dynamic Sample Store in the eCart 4 downloads? The confirm page is already generated. If you generate the files from scratch, eCart 5 will generate the confirm page correctly with CAD instead of USD.
