Menus hidden behind flash banner on my Windows machines

Menus hidden behind flash banner on my Windows machines

Everything works fine on my Mac browsers, but on my PC browsers (IE, FireFox & Safari)
the menus are hiding behind a Flash Banner. If I swap out the Flash file with anything
else, the menus work fine. My PC is running XP 64 (yeah I know). I've tried changing the css positioning, placing the menus above the Flash banner, but no go and I've tried using SWFObject, but that doesn't seem to work either. It did occur to me that it might be an XP 64 issue.

It's just happening on the Home page.
Can someone take a look.

Here's the url: www.navarestoration.com

Thanks

Thanks for checking.

Z index for the menu div is set to relative, 100.

So maybe it's an XP 64 issue.

If anyone else can check with ie7 that would be much appreciated.

Thanks again

Hi

You may need to add: 'wmode','transparent',

into the line:

AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0','name','nava_logo','width','822','height','160','id','nava_logo','src','flash/Nava_Logo_Slides_2','quality','high','pluginspage','http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash','movie','flash/Nava_Logo_Slides_2' ); //end AC code

i.e:

AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0','name','nava_logo','width','822','height','160','id','nava_logo','src','flash/Nava_Logo_Slides_2','wmode','transparent','quality','high','pluginspage','http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash','movie','flash/Nava_Logo_Slides_2' ); //end AC code

Thanks neilo.

I ended up getting the drop-downs to show by doing this:

AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0','width','822','height','160','src','flash/Nava_Logo_Slides_2','quality','high','wmode','transparent','pluginspage','http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer','movie','flash/Nava_Logo_Slides_2' ); //end AC code
</script><noscript><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0"
width="822" height="160">
<param name="movie" value="flash/Nava_Logo_Slides_2.swf">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="wmode" value="opaque">
<embed src="flash/Nava_Logo_Slides_2.swf" quality="high"
wmode="opaque" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="822" height="160"></embed>
</object>

At first I had tried using transparent and that didn't work, so I changed to opaque and everything is working now.

Thanks again

ps. If you see a smiley after the clsid in this post, it's supposed to be a colon in the code.

Cheers fineart

Nice one, - glad you got it sorted! Sometimes they go in just fine, and other times they drive me nuts.

Ta for posting back with the code, - it is sure will help others with the same problem.
