Youtube embed code to a universal email form

I have a test form set up article_submission/ where i want the user to supply an embed code for a youtube video in a form, when the email gets delivered it doesn't include the embed code. I tried it on another form not processed by universal email 4 on my website and it was submitted successfully. Any ideas on how to rectify this issue?

I have submitted screenshot of the way the form was submitted after including the embed code in a form field.

Do you store this info in a db where you can check on it? Do you see the info just as it was entered into the form? I think because the info uses html in it you should encode it to be able to see it.

In the email body where the message value is printed you should add htmlspecialchars() around the value. If you are using one of the templates then this will need to be added to the code to account for this. I can show you where and how to add this in if you can post back with a copy of the page with the form on it and your Universal Email template file that you are using from webassist > email > templates. Post back with these files in a zip archive.

I have created an updated version of the Blank.php file from inside of webassist > email > templates. Please make sure to backup your existing file then try this updated version. In the code I added a check to see if the form element is set to Video_embed_code, if it is then the html special chars is added around the value. Please give this a try and let us know what the result is.

In the email message that you receive what is in the source code where the youtube code should be? If you can't get to the source can you save the email as a file and attach it to your reply after putting it in a zip archive?

It looks like the files did not get attached, did you add them to a zip archive first? You should be able to do this by right clicking on the file and 'send to' or 'add to' archive or zip file.
