iRite error :: dialog.Selection is null

This site has been up and running for at least six months and now an error is appearing when trying to insert an image in the HTML editor.

Please see attached screen print.

From the screen shot it looks like you are using IE8. The version of FCKEditor that was included in iRite was created before IE8 was released and is not fully compatible with IE8.

A number of IE8 compatibility issues where corrected in the release of HTML editor.

You will either need to recreate the iRite instance using HTML editor, or use a different browser.

Thanks, Jason. I think I will just recreate the HTML editor in all of my pages. Pain in the butt, but my client is using a variety of browsers, so that sounds like a much better solution!

Jason, I removed the editor from the page and recreated it, but it's still not working. Are you saying that I need to remove EVERYTHING - all the code - and completely start from scratch?

Jason, I now removed EVERYTHING that had anything to do with iRite and recreated everything. It's still not working. I checked and I AM using the latest release. In Firefox, the icons don't even show up and all I see is the HTML code within the editor - not the WYSIWYG. I have uploaded everything to the server. I've double-checked. Now what?

Impossible to tell without seeing the code.

Can you send a copy of your page and a screen shot showing the problem. A url would be helpful as well if possible.

Jason, I can't post the URL publicly - it's in a client's admin area. Can you open a support ticket for me, please? :)
