If you could post a link to the map I could take a look at the JS and give you instructions on how to remove the popup.

In your google_javascript/wagmp_map_2.js file find and remove all the code that looks like this:
if('address_0' == 'address_0')
marker_0.openInfoWindowHtml(address_0.infowindowtext);
}

or like this:
GEvent.addListener(marker_0, 'click', function() {
marker_0.openInfoWindowHtml(address_0.infowindowtext);
});

neilo

Hi Dawn,

Have you removed the map from your page?

In the div

<div id="wagmp_map_2" style="width: 515px; height: 210px;"></div>

You don't seem to be referencing your JavaScript file:

<div id="wagmp_map_2" style="width: 515px; height: 210px;">
<script type="text/javascript" src="google_javascript/wagmp_maps.js">/*wagmp*/
</div>

This seems to make the problem worse

When I view the page in dreamweaver - the map placeholder is there.

If I put in the code you mention this makes it worse - still no map and the page re-shuffled itself into random blocks

In this case, if you revert the changes you made earlier and find the line that looks like this:
icon_0.infoWindowAnchor = new GPoint(19,0);

This should prevent the info window from popping up.

Also works in ColdFusion

I had the same problem in the map when used with Coldfusion. Removing the icon_0.infoWindowAnchor line from the wagmp_map_1.cfm file got rid of the popup.

I know it's not that relevant to this discussion, but I've been looking for this solution for a while and the search engines keep pointing to this discussion. So I thought I'd put the Coldfusion solution here.
