child not populating

Hi,

I can get both my dropdowns populated but as soon as I add the dynamic array the parent populates fine but the child is empty. Any ideas?

The child is linked by the parent_id

your page is missing the Create Dynamic array server behavior, it seams to have been removed.

you need to add the create dynamic array server behavior before adding the populate list from array behavior.

just confused which recordset id use, would the options be

recordset: rsCat
parent id: provider_cat_id
child id: cat_id
child text: cat_name

If so then what?? I find the docs really hard to follow I'm used to using ADDT and just trying to get to grips with your products.

Yes, that looks correct.


the process is:
1) create parent recordset
2) create child recordset
3) Create parent list
4) Populate with Prent recordset
5) Create child list
6) Add Create Dynamic Array server behavior using the Child recordset
7) Add Populate List from Array behavior to the onchange event of the parent list
