newbie needs a php sever client

Hi everyone
I've just puchased SS and require a php server client / webhost.
Can anyone who knows the difference between a good and bad server client please advise as I've just decided to quit with 123-reg.com whom are in my opinion, some where between alibaba and the golden fleece.

We have a pdf that covers getting a new hosting provider, in the document 1&1 is the provider that is referenced. Here is a link to it:

host_signup.pdf

I have also heard good things about Dream Host but I have not personally used either of these.

Thanks Eric

I chose 1and1.
