Memory error

I'm running into the same memory error that others have encountered with DFP, but none of the solutions seem to be working.

Here's the error:
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 32768000) (tried to allocate 17472 bytes) in /homepages/22/d300453961/htdocs/WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php on line 865

Here's the code I have on the page where I upload the file and insert the filename into the database:

<?php
ini_set('memory_limit','256M');
ini_set('max_execution_time', 120);
ini_set('post_max_size','256M');
?>

What else can I try?

Best - Joe

The Host may have disabled the ability to increase the memory limit.

To see if the change to the memory limit is taking effect, try using the following:

php:
<?php

echo ini_get('memory_limit').'<br />';
ini_set('memory_limit''256M');
echo
ini_get('memory_limit');
?>

this will write the memory limit being used by the server before and after the ini set, if it is not changing, you should contact the host to see what options there are.

This site is hosted on 1&1 which evidently has a 40M memory limit on shared hosting. From their FAQ:
"Due to resource limits on our Shared Hosting machines, it is not possible to allocate more than 40M of memory to PHP, although phpinfo() may report a higher number. You will be unable to increase the memory usage limit with a php.ini file."

Looks like I'll just have to inform my client to resize their own images.

Thanks - Joe
