Flat Rate shipping for small and large items

Hi

have a client who has just two fixed shipping fees one for small articles one for large.

I realise I can differentiate between small and large by assigning weights but how do I implement the shipping side

I have ecart but woulkd appreciate some hints

thanks

In the weight column, you could store the shipping amount for each item.

Then set the shipping rule to use:
trigger:
Total number of unique items in the cart > 0

calculation:
Based on column subtotal
subtotal of Column "Totalweight" "plus" "0"

Sorry Jason

I clearly have not grasped your meaning.

If I open cart.php and then double click on server behaviour ecart and select the shipping tab I see

asps
ups
fedex

which I dont need

I assumed I delete these and the n select Add?

From there I'm lost is this not what you meant?

thanks

Ian

Yes, remove the shipping calculations that you don't need and create a new one.

When setting up shipping rules, there are three sections:
1) Name
2) Triggers
3) Calculation.

Set the name something like "Shipping Rate"

In the triggers selection, click the plus button to add a trigger.

From the select list of available triggers select "Based on total Number of unique items".
In the form below the select enter:
If the total number of unique items in the cart is ">" a value of "0"

In the calculations section, select "Based on column subtotal" from the select list of available calculations, and fill the form in as:
Subtotal Column of "TotalWeight" "Plus" "0"
