Wordpress Site Hack!

Hello!

This is a general warning to anyone who has a PowerStore site in the same directory as a Wordpress site. You are vulnerable to hacking. There is a flaw in Wordpress and my Wordpress site was hacked. And my PowerStore site was also hacked as well. I am re-uploading it as we speak. There's a code that writes to every page on the site that downloads MalWare onto users computers when triggered. Pretty nasty stuff.

Can you WebAssist folks look into this to see if the PowerStore is vulnerable in the same way that WordPress was? It's a php vulnerability in the CMS - I'm guessing.

If you have a wordpress site - upgrade immediately!

This appears to be a wordpress issue and not an issue with powerstore. Wordpress users should beware, but no need for particular concern for powerstore users from what I can seel

Ray - My Powerstore was hacked as well as the Wordpress site. They got in through the wordpress site and hacked everything with a php extension. Just a heads up. This isn't just a Wordpress issue!

That is consistant with my beliefs... Wordpress has the ability to edit pages directly... Powerstore doesn't. They took advantage of the security hole in wordpress to update the powerstore site. Any php page on that wordpress site was vulnerable because of wordpress. It appears it had nothing to do with the powerstore other than the powerstore is built with php pages and was hosted along with a wordpress site.

Anyone with wordpress and any php pages should be concerned, but without wordpress there would be no way to add code to the powerstore site.

Really?

Isn't the point of PHP to allow for interactive traffic via the sql db? If so, then any PHP-based framework may be vulnerable, eh?
