Site user entered text preview

Site user entered text preview

OK...hopefully I can explain this throughly.

I have a greeting card site where people can select a greeting from a drop down list and then add a custom signture. On some other sites I have seen where they have a preview section where a customer can preview what their test will actually look like in both the font and color that they choose.

So after they enter their selections they hit a "preview" button and in a card sized box it previews their text.

Does anyone know where I would start with something like that?

Thanks!

Grant

Hey Grant,

It sounds like they are using an AJAX script of sorts to take the entered information and then generate the pop-up preview using a temporary variable.

Do you have any links of some of the other sites where you have seen what you are trying to accomplish. If I get a look at it, I could probably determine what they are doing.

Regards,

Brian

grant,

It is definitely using an ajax/java script to display the sample from the text box while applying the formatting from the menu. I will check with my development team if they have any scripts or have seen this somewhere.
