Creating a Related/Suggested Products Block

Hello Webassist Guru's

I'm looking to add a Related/Suggested/Recommend Product Block to my Email Receipts and in my Cart Display as a Sidebar.
I'll explain: When my customer purchases a certain printer, I want the corrrect ink type and paper type to show up as a Suggested Product and allow them to add it to the cart from the sidebar.
Tigerdirect.com is a great example of what I'm trying to acomplish.
Can I do this with any of the WA Extensions.
If not can you point me in the Right Direction.

Thanks
You guys Rock!

The way to accomplish this is you will need to set up a different query to populate your left column. but first you will need to add a column to your products table (recommendedProductID or something like that) which will have the id of that product. The query will do a look up using the cart id as the filter. So the printer will have a recommnededProductID of the ink type for that printer. And then you could just apply an add to cart server behavior to the left column using that record set.

there is a few other cases that i'm not sure if you want to handle, like if you added two different kind of printers, but i think this should get you going in the right direction.
