Selling eBooks

How does one set up a web site to sell eBooks.
PayPal is no problem, already have account(s). Preparing eBooks is no problem.
But need to have command that returns from completed PayPal transaction to password protected web pages, enabling customers to download different ebook(s).
A different password needed for each customer, allowing them 30 days to download.
A different ability for each ebook - Customer purchases one (or more) of 12 different books, to be downloaded separately, plus a cheaper "package" needs to be available, if all are purchased together.
Is this possible for one new programmer (like me) to do? _______
Or is this complicated enough that subscribing to a service with a monthly or annual fee is preferable? ____
Thanks for any help and/or advice.

You will probably want to get a service to handle the transaction of a downloadable product such as: www.payloadz.com/

Another good one is E-Junkie: www.e-junkie.com/

Both can handle the transaction and maximum number of downloads per buyer.

Best regards,

Brian

We have a tutorial on how to set up a download center:

creating_download_center.php

Although this is not exactly what you are looking for, but i think it is a good starting point.

There is going to be some custom coding to be done as far as giving a customer a 30 day to download.
