Text overflow

Thread began 5/06/2010 11:39 pm by josh.perla314195 | Last modified 5/07/2010 8:10 pm by Eric Mittman | 658 views | 1 replies |

Text overflow

There seems to be various affects of the map with overflowing of text. Sometimes in a map it stays within the borders and others it overflows.

Go to index.php

Scroll down to "Stir" and "49 Grove" and you can see the different widths of the text within the pro google maps. There has to be a way to keep within the borders...

How do I prevent this from happening?

The text is part of the code that Google sends back to the page so you won't be able to remove it. You can use some css to make the text smaller though so it fits in your map area.

The text that you see is just in a span tag, you should add the following css to your head area of the doc with the maps on it to adjust the size of the text:

I tried this out and was able to get the text any size that I specified here for the font size. If you have any other text that is in a span tag that does not have a class defined this setting will alter that part of your page also, you will need to more explicitly define the css for those areas since you have access to them and not the google code that is sent back.
