Universal Email 4

Universal Email 4

How to you customize a content of the email body?

For example I would like to ad the following...
Comment or question from <The Name Of The Person Who Sent Email>

I would also like to remove group, hidden fields and submit form information sent in the body of the email.

With Universal Email 3 I would add the following...
<?php echo ((isset($_POST["firstName"]))?$_POST["firstName"]:"")?> <?php echo ((isset($_POST["lastName"]))?$_POST["lastName"]:"")?>

But this does not seem to work with Universal Email 4.

Thanks

If you are using one of the templates they are preconfigured for you already to send the form details.

You can go into the template file in webassist > email > templates and edit the template. You can get the form bindings on the page by going to Bindings > Form Data, then selecting the form page. Once the form bindings are available you can drag and drop them into the body of the message where you would like to see them.

Hello
I have a similar question.
I have created a contactus page and a templates page from a blank template.

When I look at the bindings of the template page there is no Form Data Icon so I cannot include entered information.

I have attached the zipped files.

Thank you

John

on the bindings tab, click the plus button and select Form Data. in the form data window, click the folder icon and select your contact form page. this will add form bindings to the template page.

Thanks Jason

So easy when you know how!

Just one more point

Is there any way of knowing which template is being used by the contactus.php page?

it requires doing some digging in the code.

in the UE behavior code on the contact us page, there will be a line similar to this:

php:
include("webassist/email/waue_contactus_1.php");

if you look in the file referenced: webassist/email/waue_contactus_1.php

there will be another line that refers to the template page:

php:
$MailBody = $MailBody . (GetFromPage("templates/Center.php"));

Thanks Jason
Previously I did this with file dates.

Maybe I will stick to that method..
