Radio Button Focus

I'm using WA Validation toolkit for client side validation. When there's a data entry problem it will go to the field with the issue (Great!). When I have some radio buttons (where an entry is required) the focus does NOT go to the radio button. What do I need to change to have the focus go to the offending radio button group?? Here's the code:

<td bgcolor="#dfe5e9"><input type="radio" id="MaritalStatus1" name="MaritalStatus" value="Single" />
&nbsp;Single</td>
<td bgcolor="#dfe5e9"><input type="radio" id="MaritalStatus2" name="MaritalStatus" value="Married" />
&nbsp;Married</td>
<td bgcolor="#dfe5e9"><input type="radio" id="MaritalStatus3" name="MaritalStatus" value="Divorced" />
&nbsp;Divorced</td>
<td bgcolor="#dfe5e9"><input type="radio" id="MaritalStatus4" name="MaritalStatus" value="Widow" />
&nbsp;Widow</td>

Unfortunate, this is a limitation to radio groups.

All of the radio buttons in a radio group have the same name, because of this it cannot determine which radio button should have focus on failure.

Limitation of Radio groups?

I would respond that it is a limitation of the validation behavior. Other validation programs (like Spry in DW) will put the focus on radio buttons. Please report this as a bug in your software and advise on a fix date. Thanks.

Not trying to be difficult, but I don't see a way with spry to force focus to an invalid field, text or radio button when the form submits. Could you perhaps post a sample of this?
