Photos Still not Uploading ...

I am extremely disappointed with this software. Even after the upgrade, I had put this software for a client and they are demanding their money back because they are having so many issues with its functioning.

I went in to help them out and now I am even having trouble just implementing a photo. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! Especially after many attempts to fix this same issue. I am so frustrated and sorry I even offered this service to my client.

Since I've already programmed a huge site with this software I am in dying need to fix these bugs I cannot take it anymore.

I also do not want to post the URL here because I am afraid it will be caught in google and forever more be listed as a problem web site.

Could some one please help!

Hiya Jackie,

When you go to your settings area in your CMS Admin area, (settings.php), check to see what your uploaded files folder is. It will show a full server path to the file you specified during set-up, - something like /home/users/uks12345/html/yoursite.com/CMS/files.

First check that the file is on your server at that path, and also check that the folder has adequate write permissions (maybe 767).

What happens when you try to upload an image, and are you able to browse to your files folder? Do you get any error messages?

Also, what are all the other issues with the functionality?

Thanks.

Jackie,

Can you offer any more details? I have used the latest version of PowerCMS with no issues at all.

But, I cannot help based on the vagueness of the issue your reporting. When you say photo upload problems, are you referring to the advanced file manager? Is the issue with the actual CMS or with how it is being displayed on the front end?

Also, I am not sure about the reasoning you list for not posting a URL. The idea that Google will pick it up and list it as a problem site is just not how the system at Google works. So post it and let us have a gander and, perhaps, someone here can offer a solution.

Regards,

Brian

PowerCMS2 Much better

Yeah I went through all that jazz with PowerCMS 1 but I have to say PowerCMS2 is MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK GOD YOU GUYS CAME OUT WITH THIS VERSION RIGHT ON TIME.

I bought PowerCMS2 last night and did an upgrade. Although, I was at my last leg with the other version this one so far seems to be much better. No image problem either.
