UE4 File Manipulation Delete File Error Bug

Thread began 4/17/2010 12:46 pm by dlovas275157 | Last modified 4/19/2010 11:36 am by Jason Byrnes | 1170 views | 3 replies |

UE4 File Manipulation Delete File Error Bug

There appears to be a bug.

On my delete page (which clearly has a delete record SB), if I choose in the server bahaviors panel "+ > WebAssist > File Manipulation > Delete File" I am propmpted with the following error:

"There are no delete or update transactions on page. Please insert an appropriate transaction first"

Workaround/Temporary fix:
Use the menus at the top of the page instead of using the SB Panel menu. THis gets around the prompt error.

Hope this helps others

My guess is that you also have Adobe's ADDT installed along side WebAssist UE4. The ADDT extension also uses the exact same naming convention as the UE4 for "Delete File" which causes the selection to actually try to invoke ADDT first.

There is an easy fix, see my last post on this thread: showthread.php?t=11500

You will just need to change the title in one file from "Delete File" to "Delete Files". As you may have guessed, the behavior for WA UE4 will now be renamed to Delete Files with the "s". But this will fix your issue.

Best regards,

Looks like this should be in a FAQ or Known issues section.
