Discount value rounding up

Discount value rounding up

Hi,

I have a dynamic percentage value that is being used when a coupon code is being entered.

Once the coupon has been accepted it creates a session variable of 0.whatever and this figure is used in the eCart Discount section when multiplying the cart's sub total by the value held in the session variable.

However.....

I seem to be struggling with rounding. For example, I have a product in the cart of £299.00. When I apply the 10% discount code it discounts £30 and not £29.

Is there anything I can do easily to ensure the correct value is passed?

Thanks!
Ian

How exactly have you set this rule up in the cart? Please post back with the details and include a copy of your cart file from within your WA_eCart folder. I will take a look to see what I can find.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the reply. Here is the code

function WAEC_eStorex_Percentage()  {
$totalDiscount = 0;
if (true && (((isset($_SESSION['ispercentage'])?$_SESSION['ispercentage']:"") == "1"))) {
$totalDiscount += ($this->TotalColumn("TotalPrice") * $_SESSION['discountvalue']);//Result
}
return WA_eCart_FormatNumber($totalDiscount, $this->ForceDecimalsC, $this->DecimalPlacesC);
}

The Session called 'discountvalue' has a value of 0.10

Cheers
Ian

Please post back with a copy of your cart file from within your WA_eCart folder. If you cant find the file you can send the whole cart folder in a zip archive. I would also like a copy of your cart display page to ensure that I have things setup just like you. I will be able to do some testing and let you know what I discover.
