Action: Rename new File

Action: Rename new File

I'm trying to have the code rename a file if there's already an identical file name uploaded. The original file will rename correctly, but all of the thumbnails and different sized jpgs aren't named correctly so I think I'm putting in the wrong code on the second page of the wizard. This in turn causes the gallery to search for the wrong file name and the images don't show up. I tried to look through the tutorials but the rename step is only briefly mentioned with no real pointers that I could find...maybe I'm wrong. I've attached a jpg with screen shots of the upload wizard and also the zip of the php page....

the url is 1to1marketing-llc.com

I have done a test of this with very similar settings to what you have used, I only had one resized image though. As a test I uploaded an image and checked the directory to ensure that is was uploaded and the resized version was named accordingly. I then went and repeated the action and checked the directory. I could see that the new file was uploaded with the increment value after the name. The resized version had the same name as the previous one but with the increment afterwards, here are the file names I was left with:

tt.jpeg
tt_42c.jpeg
tt_1.jpeg
tt_42c_1.jpeg

Is this not the same result that you are getting? Please post back with the details so we can help you get past this issue.

I'm getting....

photographer.jpeg
photographer_42c.jpeg
photographer_42c_1.jpeg
photographer_82c.jpeg
photographer_82c_1.jpeg

for some reason the photographer_1.jpg didn't show up.

Another problem is the gallery is looking for the same thumbs for each entry. When I right click on the thumbnails and "copy image location" the location for each image is the same, but they should be incremented right?

the url is gallery.php

When I went to the link you provided and right clicked on the thumnails and copied their url's I put them in a text file to compare them. I can see that the picture of the little girl was going to images/1/girl3_62c.jpg and the photographer was going to images/1/photographer_62c.jpg.

When you tested this were those the only images in the directory? You should try a test like this by making a new directory with nothing in it, then do the upload with the resize and check the full contents to see what images were added. If you are getting the resized version of the uploaded image the original should also be there since they are all working with the same image.
