Create Email Message

Hi

I have recently downloaded Universal Email 4. Once installed into Dreamweaver CS4, I have my php form page open. I have selected Insert > Web Assist > Create Email Message, but nothing is happening. What is supposed to happen?

Thanks in advance
Julie

The Create Email Message wizard is supposed to appear. If you take a look at the feature tour, it shows what the interface should look like. The feature tour can be found here:
Fhe2-sWJQn8&hl=en&fs=1

When you click on the access point, does it seem like Dreamweaver is working or does it just immediately go into an idle state again right away?

Another way to access the behavior is to open the server behaviors panel. Click the plus button on that and under WebAssist there should be a Create Email Message option there as well. Give that access point a try as well.

That video is nice and all but when you choose a template for the body, it does not work.
the email sends blank body still. Would be nice if you guys made a video that actually showed how to get the contents of your body to work. Can't tell you how frustrating not getting the body is.

create email message does not show

Hi, did anyone find a solution as to why create email message wizard does not show, I'm getting the same problem using data bridge and dreamweaver CC.
Thanks

This is a rather old thread specific to the stand alone version of UE, not Data Bridge. Whatever the solution for the OP is most likely not related to your problem, even though the symptoms sound similar.

What version of Data Bridge do you have installed? make sure to install the most recent version 1.2.0, if you have a previous version installed, uninstall it from the extension manager then install the newer one.

after installing the newer version open DW and a php page to start the WebAssist installer.

after the WebAssist installer completes, make sure to restart DW.

Hi Jason, yes, sorry about using old thread, but just came across it. Yes, tried all the above you mention, no joy.

Will open other menu commands from databridge, but its just the email wizard will not show. Even when only extension activated?

I can even send you teamview codes if you wanted to check yourself?

Regards

Do you have a site defined and a page for that site open in Dreamweaver?

What is your OS?

What version of Dreamweaver?

What other extensions including the version numbers are installed?

Hi,
Windows 8.1
CC version - latest version 13.2 build 6471
Other extensions are installed but are all deactivated in extension manager, so the only extension activated is databridge?

you did not address my first question:

Do you have a site defined and a page for that site open in Dreamweaver?
