Multipart HTML and Text

I need to create a multipart email with both an HTML and plain text version using UE 4.0. I don't see instructions on how to do this in the getting started guide but I do see it as a feature in the list of features. Is there any documentation available on how to go about doing this? I know the feature is in there because the following code is in mail_php.php:

else if ($mailObj->BodyFormat == 2 || $mailObj->BodyFormat == 0) {
$mailHeader .= "Content-Type: multipart/alternative";

Thanks for any help - Phil

In the main interface if you uncheck the box for use file you will get the edit with DW and Plain Text icons. If you select the Plain Text icon (pencil) you will be able to craft the plain text for the message. If you select the DW icon it will open a page for you to edit for the html version of the message. There is more detail on these choices if you click on the help button in the main interface.

Plain Text and HTML

I have tried this and there is no place for a separate 'plain text' field. Does this extension still support plain email.

Universal Email 4 automatically converts the HTML Email that is sent to a plain text version as well. it is not longer created separately.

I see...that will be why I can't see it then :-)

So just to confirm...I DO NOT need to worry about creating a plain text version at all?

It's a pity we can't see how the plain text looks...jst in case we need to tweak it a little

Yes, that is correct.

A plain text version of the email is created automatically.
