Flat Rate Shipping

I need to have just one rate for shipping. What do you best recommend I do to set this up instead of having the different options currently available.

We will just be shipping out via post and will have one rate for any location.

Thanks!

Setting up flat rate shipping isn't supported with PowerStore, but if you have eCart, you can modify the shipping rules to have flat rate shipping. Here is a thread that goes over how to set the shipping to flat rate using eCart:

I went and purchased Ecart and followed the instructions as you noted in that other thread. However, while opening the file I get an error message which states:
_________________________
While executing analyzeServerBehaviour in Recordset.htm, a JavaScript error occurred.

Any idea on what this is? I get the same message when I try to double-click on the item in Server Behaviours - eCart Object (WA_Store_Cart) (I am assuming this is the file I was to double-click on.

I am trying to execute this off my local files on my computer and then I was going to upload the updated file to the server.

Have you tried the steps outlined in the common installation issues document?

I did this. I removed the file as noted, restart Dreamweaver, open the file and I get the exact same message again.

Any additional thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

You said you get the error when opening the file. Did you mean when you open the cart object interface? Did you make any modifications to the PowerStore files or are they the default ones?

What I am doing is this:

I have Dreamweaver open. Next, I am opening the cart.php file that is located on my local drive. My thought was I would do the edit off the local drive, then upload it to my hosted server.

The error message occurs in Dreamweaver when I open the cart.php file from my local drive. I have made no modifications to the Powerstore files. This is actually the defaul file that came with the download from the original zip file. Only thing that I have done is removed the Read Only attribute so that I can edit the file.

I don't even get past this point without the error message occuring.

I have opened a backend ticket to take a look into this with you in more detail. To check your backend tickets, log in to your account at www.webassist.com and check your support history.

The pages being edited were not contained in a local site, so the error was being thrown. For future reference, most of the extensions require for pages to be in the current local site to work correctly.

This is still not working here on this end. Yesterday we were able to open up Ecart and go and edit the items in the Shipping tab. I go through the process of that, delete the three charges that are on there, then I go and add the Flat Rate item. I hit OK, but it will not take the changes, no matter what.

I tried doing this with the local files and also the remote files. Still the same issue, it will not take these changes. I have tried every combination I can think of here, still nothing on it.

Upon looking at the information on the eCart Object where I can go and delete the items and add the other, at the top it notes:
"This interface is not for setting up shipping on your site. That is done in the Checkout Wizard. Use this page to modify shipping rules after running the Checkout Wizard or applying vendor-specific Behaviour."

I guess I'm a little confused as I understood I was to purchase eCart, then we could simply edit this file that I already have uploaded through PowerStore. When I looked at running the Checkout Wizard as this message notes, it's basically wanting to do the whole setup all over again that I ran with the PowerStore wizard when I first set the site up.

Need to know here what I am supposed to do. The instructions initially provided by you indicated just to edit the cart.php file, but this isn't working based on what I have gone through here for the past day in trying to figure this out.

Need suggestions and completion on this asap. Duane
