backup configuration folder?

noticing that errors can occur to the extensions, in that somehow the win....dat file gets corrupted or something, is it wise to think about backing up the configuration folder, say once a day or whenever there is a change to the file itself?
what is your recommendations on backing up the configuration folder?
thanks!

If all your extensions are working correctly, making a backup of the configuration folder isn't a bad idea. If the issue is with the winfilecache file, it is easier to just delete that file and have it be re-created. The backup configuration folder can be used to restore your extensions if you do something that causes the configuration folder to become corrupted. It wouldn't hurt to have a backup of the folder with all your extensions working just in case.

Where?

Where can the configuration folder be found for backing up?

Due to very limited resources and being limited to a very weak computer, I have to re-install windows on it every month or two to keep it running at a decent speed and healthy.

I know that I'm suppost to reset my serial or key each time, but I'm not sure how to backup my previous templates made with or inside CSS Sculptor.

What section or confirg folder needs to be backed up?

So sorry, I've been looking so long.
