Duplicate button?

Duplicate button?

Hi.
I realize that this is not a support question. Bu I ask anyway. Maybe someone know.

If I want to have a "duplicate record" button in a results page beside a edit button, would that be hard to do?
I mean, creating the actual image is not a problem, but the code to duplicate the record in the database is ;)

Sometimes it would be good instead of "insert" especially when I have an HTML Editor instance to edit/duplicate.

If you wanted to duplicate an entry, you could have a recordset that gets the entry you want, and then just insert it again into the database. The row would be duplicated that way.

Thank you. That was easy enough for the regular text field and the HTMLEditor.

But not for the file field. No mather what i do. the filename does not get inserted.
At this point I have to upload new files. And then it works.

But just to copy the filename seemes to be harder.

Can you have a look at the file perhaps?

If there's a file field and you're applying the Upload Server behavior to it, you can set the default file to point to the Recordset value for the file name and that would insert the default file name if there isn't one selected in the file field.

Hi
I could not get it to work with the filefields and upload images behaviour.

If i change the filefields to regular text input fields. And remove the file upload behaviours.
It all works ok.

I can live with this. Because the main purpouse is to duplicate an existing record.
Once I have done that I can do an Update on that record if I want to change the picture.

Thanks for your support.

olle
