Questions About Development of PowerCMS

Questions About Development of PowerCMS

I am looking for an easy editor for a client's web site and this looks good so far. One issue that I have though is that the client would not be able to add new pages, only edit existing ones. Are there any plans for this in future releases and, if so, what is the timescale for this?

How would this Solution integrate into a PHP site that has a combination of standard content pages with text and images, a photo gallery and an online store? I currently subscribe to the WA library so would probably use eCart, Universal Email etc. Would the customer be able to edit the store using PowerCMS too?

Unfortunately it has not been planned to add the feature for the next release. If you would like to see the feature in a future release, you can make a post in the wishlist forum to request it.

On the pages you would define the places where the content would be edited and that's how you would incorporate the CMS into the pages. If you take a look at the support pages, there are step by step instructions on how to do this.

Same issues with PowerCMS

PowerCMS does look pretty good but I agree the ability to ad another page is keeping me from buying this. My thought is the client would have a template page that they would have the ability to "save as" something else.

Another questions I have is can a client have the words "Read more" be a link? I guess what I'm asking is can a client create a link that is just text or a picture and not a web address?

Yes, the user can create links using images and having words hide the url.

One workaround for this issue is you could create a page upload field on a page for each of the locations your client would upload to. You could also have the template downloadable so the client can download, modify and upload it.
