Email sends but no form data

I am using a simple contact form, I have the universal email all set up and the form works, the email is sent, but when I receive it, there is no form data in the email.

I assume I need to set up the body of the email to include the form data, but have no idea how to do that.

also, I have no recordset in use so I cant use the lightning bolt icons because it asks me to define a record set.

any help would be greatly appriciated.

thanks

You should be able to use the lightning bolt without a recordset. Just define a php site so that you "could" create a recordset and then the bindings will show for other things like form bindings that you need even without a recordset.

The newer version of UE (version 4) has some pre-built email templates that automatically include the form. You could consider just using one of those as well.
