Error when trying to uninstall CSS menu writer

Error when trying to uninstall CSS menu writer

When I start DW CS3 I get this message: The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: Unable to open script file "Applications: Adobe Dreamweaver CS3:Configuration:Shared:WebAssist:CSSMenuWriter:Library:WA_Configuration.js" (error 2)

So since I've moved onto CS4 for most things anyway, I'm trying to uninstall CSS menu Writer from DW CS3. But when I try I get this message: Internal error (please contact technical support). The extension will not be removed.

So what do I need to do to remove this extension? (Mac OSX)

If you don't have too many other extensions, you could try renaming the configuration folder. Close Dreamweaver and go to:

Hard disk: Users: <Your User Name>: Library: Application Support: Adobe: Dreamweaver 9

(Please note that <Your User Name> Should be replaced with the User name you use to log into your computer)

Rename the configuration folder to configuration_back. This will have the effect of disabling all of the installed extensions. You should open the extension manager and remove all extensions to clear the extension managers cache.

So just to make sure I understand, I should rename the configuration folder to disable all extensions, then remove all of the extensions in the extension manager, then change the configuration folder back to its original name, then I'll be able to reinstall just the extensions I want to keep?

Once you rename the configuration folder, the extensions will all be disabled. At that point you would just remove all the extensions and you can install the ones you want again.

That did it. Thanks, Jimmy
