Error MDB2 Error: connect failed connect

I've seen a post on the forum for this before but it was later moved to a support ticket, I cant seem to find where to submit a ticket so i'm positing here, sorry if that wrong!

I've got a site up and running using powerstore, everything is working fine, you can view products, search etc... all the content is pulling out the database fine however when i go to upload an image in the CMS section i get the following error:

Error
MDB2 Error: connect failed
connect: [Error message: unable to establish a connection] [Native code: 0] ** mysql(mysql)://0:xxx@0/

Can you help?

The ticket was never resolved, the user did not get back to us with some requested info. This error seems to be telling you that you are being denied permission when trying to access your database.

Does this happen for you regardless of the file or image you try to upload? Please test this out with different images and files of different sizes to help determine if there is something specific to the image that you are working with. If you get this result regardless then it will need to be looked into further to determine what the cause may be. If this is the case I can open a ticket for you on this issue, just let us know.

Sorry - It's when browsing server not the actual upload

Sorry for the delay, I was expecting to be notified when a reply was posted...

Ok it looks like I've explained this wrong, I've always uploaded Images using the Image Info's "Browse Server" button, this way I can make folders and keep things tidy, it when I click the Browse Server button on this page (SEE ATTACHED) the error I posted is appearing.

I've just tried and can upload an image using the upload tab in the Image Properties control box, that works fine, it's the Browse Server box that's causing me problems.

Thanks
Lee

Thank you for the clarification. From what I have read online this error can occur if the connection information that the kfm is using does not work correctly. When you applied to to the page did you enable advanced file management? If in the HTML Editor wizard do you have a connection selected from the connection drop down?

If so what is the connection you have selected. In this connection how are you specifying the host? From what I have seen if you are using localhost and getting this error you might want to try updating the host in here to be 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost. Please check on these things and let us know the result that you get.
