Security Assist For Additional Pages

Security Assist For Additional Pages

I have uploaded the Power CMS and all works fine, but i have used data assist to develop a section on a recruitment website for updating jobs that are on the website. All works fine but I have two problems:

1. the pages need to have security assist added to these extra pages, but when I try to add the security assist to the extra pages, (security assist, show region) it says no rules have been created. But I want to use the same rules that apply to the main CMS.

2. The second is that I want to add the CMS template to the extra pages I have created, but they do not appear under the assets tab where I would normally find the templates.

Any help you can give me on this would be much appreicated.

p.s. I think your extensions are great and keep up the good work.

Kind Regards

Brian

Hi Brian,

When I have added pages with DataAssist to PowerCMS, I automatically get the option to use the PowerCMS admin template with my wizard. The template already carries the Security Assist behavior in that... are not seeing that?

Best regards,

Brian

Thanks

Thanks for taking a look at my query, I have uploaded the cms files to a folder called cms. I wonder whether this is why the admin template is not showing as the template folder is under the cms folder.

I need to get the template to show in the assets tab and then i will be able to apply the template to the pages or do this through the data assist process (admin template not currently showing in data assist).

When you are checking on or editing the SecurityAssist rules it checks for the WA_SecurityAssist folder in the root of the site. If it is not in the root of the site then the rules will not be available to you for changing.

It is similar for the templates, any template file must be within the site root in the Templates folder. If the template is not in here it will not be found by DW.

One way you can do this is to create a new site in DW and set the folder for the site to be the folder you have all of the PowerCMS stuff in. This way the rules and templates will be available in the root of this new site.

Many thanks, I have now placed at the root of my site and have access to all the templates and security assist.

Kind Regards

Brian
