Currency - A full guide

It seems after trawling so many posts here one of the most common questions is changing the currency smbols.

You have to look at so many posts to try to get a full idea of where next to change. The PDF on it doesnt cover all of them:

Can someone from WA make this a little less tedious for everyone and either put a couple of ready amanded downloads or a least a definitive guide for us.

Also it would be far better if this was before install otherwise folks would have to do this for every install.

BTW wasnt it possible to put the currency and weight in a Global so it could be set at install or ffrom the Admin?

We moved this post to the Wishlist so that we can keep the PowerStore forum for those who need help.

Adding an option in the Admin for changing currency symbols is definitely something we are considering for the next version of PowerStore.

Please let us know if something is missing from that guide. We have tested it and confirmed that it included all the necessary steps, but users were not finding all the references that needed changing. We have since updated the tutorial to make this clearer. If we have missed something from the tutorial, please let us know so that we can fix it.

Along with the changes Jason pointed out in the thread

I've been doing this as well and after doing a entire site search in the source code for "number_format" I changed the following pages from "$" to "£"

index.php
orders_Detail.php
Products_Detail.php
Products_Results.php
Admin > home.php
Admin > orders_Delete.php
Admin > orders_Results.php
Admin > orders_Update.php
Admin > Products_Delete.php
Admin > Products_Detail.php
Admin > Products_Results.php
Email_Templates > admin_receipt.php

There are quite a few instances on some of the pages but clicking on the search results in Dreamweaver will take you to the relevant line of code that needs the "$" replacing.

Hopefully that covers all of the currency changes whether it be to GBP or any other.
