Power Gallery - can't connect to MySQL

Power Gallery - can't connect to MySQL

I'm trying to install Power Gallery to my site, but I can't pass the connecting database page. Everything is set up, but when I type in my server name, database, username, password info I keep getting an error message that "ERROR: Could not connect to MySQL. Please verify the server, username, and password are correct." I tried every combination possible. Is there something I need the hosting company to turn on? or is it the software? Please help.

You should verify that the information that you are using is correct. The best way to do this is to contact your hosting provider to ask them about it. Instead of using the server name, try using localhost, since it is on the server, so it is considered a local connection.
