File Permissions
THIS IS WERE I AM HAVING MY PROBLEM. I HAVE LOOKED ALL OVER FOR THIS POWERSTORE DIRECTORY AND CANT FIND IT.

Files and directories cannot be created. Verify the powerstore directory has write permissions on your server.

this is the directory where you have uploaded the power store files.

It is the directory on your server that contains the PowerStore install folder.

This directory must have write privileges for all users.

using an ftp program like filezilla, you can select the powerstore directory, right click it and select the File Permissions option.

There are three user groups and three permissions, the permissions should be set as follows:

Owner: Read, Write, Execute
User/Group: Read, Write
Everyone: Read, Write

the install script will try to create the Connections/PowerStoreConnection.php file at the root of the PowerStore site.

This error can occur if the root does not allow read write permissions, or if the Connections folder is not created with read write permissions.

check to see if the Connections folder did get created. If it did, double check that is was created with read Write permissions. If it was not created, you will need to chmod the root of powerstore to allow read write. If it did get created, chmod the Connections folder to allow read write.

You may be able to do this through Dreamweaver. In the files panel, select 'Remote View' to see the folders and files on your remote (hosted) server, right-click the folder you want to set permissions for, and select 'Set permissions...' from the right-click menu.

Tick the appropriate boxes as per advice in previous posts, and click OK. Check that they have 'stuck' by clicking the refresh icon in the Files panel toolbar, and clicking the set permissions menu item again.
