In Menu Writer when you are editing the design go into the Design tab, and select the current tab lower on the page. In here you can specify how to show the current page, if you just want to highlight the current page only you can choose 'current page only'.
By default it will use the hover color to indicate the current page. This is controlled in a style but it is not available through the wizard. If you want to change the properties of this styling you will need to edit the menu.css file for the following style:
ul#cssmw > li.current > a.current {
In here you can adjust the text and background colors and whatever else you would need to.
thanks
could this not be part of a future release, please
I think this was a new feature in the last release so it did not get all of the standard options for exiting. I have made a feature request for this to be available in a future release though.
Eric, this isn't working for me. I've manually edited menu.css, but what I'm entering isn't being displayed on the screen.
pages.php?ID=1
Did I overlook something?
Eric, when I used the wizard it does work, but I've lost all of my formatting and custom colors in the process. I had saved it as a preset, but when I went into the design, it over-wrote it. What's the workaround for this?
Thanks!
You should be able to go into the wizard and get to you last unsaved preset, it should be available to you in the list. If you have saved over the preset minus your colors and do not have the last unsaved version available to you then you will need to edit the preset again to add in the missing parts. Whenever you are editing a preset and changing the values you should make sure to save new presets to maintain the changes along the way.
If you are making changes to the css directly you should back it up after any edits that you make.
So, it's best to always edit it through the wizard then?
Jimmy, one question. Within the wizard, I can't seem to be able to set the color of the current state. How is this accomplished?
