Power Gallery & Video

Hello,
I just received your e-mail newsletter informing me about Power Gallery. I was wondering if it also displays video files e.g. mp4 or .mov and not just images?

It only works with images, but I will add video support to the wishlist for a future version.

Unfortunately, PowerGallery is for displaying images only, and does not support videos.

Your WebAssist.com website contains lots of wonderful videos. I am wondering why it's taking so long for WebAssist to provide us customers a video extension. :)

We host most of those videos on our YouTube channel, and I think that is the way to go rather then serving videos directly hosted on your site. It might be interesting to explore a way to use the gallery designs of in PowerGallery with the videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo.

Hi Justin,

"We host most of those videos on our YouTube channel, and I think that is the way to go rather then serving videos directly hosted on your site.:"

You must be assuming one does not have the bandwidth, storage space, etc on a website to host videos. Also, why use PowerGallery when I can use all the other free gallery hosting sites out there right?

No, simply put YouTube and others has to many limitations for uploading and viewing videos. ie Some content is prohibited. Your limited by length of video time. etc

We need a PowerMultimedia extension from WebAssist with the ability to use YouTube or host the videos on our own website. While i'm at it, heck let make sure we add capabilty for all multimedia. :)

How do we make the video pop out like your website does?

I understand that you use YouTube videos, but how do we get video to pop out like your image gallery does.

Can you let us know what you use?

YouTube blocked by most Company Sites

To add to this topic, Around 54% of social Media sites like YouTube and Facebook are blocked by companies. And that number is rising.
