Yes, please post a response quickly...

I have already used version 1 and I am being asked to create a slideshow so I need to upgrade an existing gallery as well.

Thank you

Check out the read me file in the zip file, that has all the details.

Assuming you don't have any custom updates, you can just upload all the new files and login into the admin. That will upgrade you to 1.1. The database and images are written dynamically so nothing in the zip will overwrite those.

As with any upgrade its always a good idea to backup all of the files and the database just in case you need to revert for any reason.

*If upgrading to a newer version of PowerGallery, you will lose any custom content you added to the PowerGallery pages. This does not affect the galleries or images that you have created, only custom content you have manually added to pages.

Please define "custom content." Does this apply to photo descriptions or something else?

Thanks

Galleries, images they contain and anything stored in the database will be fine. Custom content would be something like a customized gallery with different css. Or maybe rebranding the admin. Anything that affected the actual files themselves.
