manage related tables

I am attempting to utilise the manage related tables server behaviour in dataassist.
Following a particular thead by tim, showthread.php?t=10305
I have tried to walk through the process. As follows...
I created 3 tables
tblplayer
tblteam
tblplayerteam
1. I created a new page with a form and an input field for player
2. I added the dataassist single record insert server behaviour, so that the player was added to tblplayer.
3. I added a 2X2 table, to which I added a the teamname to one column and a checkbox to the other.
4. I added a repeat region server behaviour to this row.
5. I walked through the manage related tables wizard, but neither the player or playerteam tables are updated.
(Here I used the playerid session variable for the new player record)
I tried adding the teamid as the checkbox value, as suggested in the thread, but this makes no difference.

I see from another thread you have this working? No?

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

It looks as though you have used a repeat region and repeat selection in the same form on this page. Instead of using both of these you should use only the repeat selection server behavior and it should be applied only to the row in the table.

The submit button that you have is within the repeat selection and is not triggering the server behaviors. It needs to be outside of any looping in order to work properly. The repeat selection tool will allow you to repeat the checkbox and label for them from the recordset in a way that is usable within the manage relational table server behavior. If you have any trouble with this or it is not working correctly after you try this please post back and include the current copy of the page after trying it this way.

thanks for your input.

this was one of several attempts to sort this out.

Ray helped me with the update page.

i now have insert and update working successfully

i (sort of) have delete working, in that i can delete the row from the primary table and the rows from the related table.
what i can't do is display the rows with the appropriate checkboxes checked (like the update page), if i do this, the delete doesn't work in the related table.

difficult to explain, i will work on it some more and send a link when i get time.

thanks
