european Payment gateway

My payment gateway is not listed in Webassist. But I found out that my gateway provider supports the following:
1. VirtueMart
2. OsCommerece
3. ZendCart
4. Magento

Now I have done the steps including Display Manager. Now the next step, Checkout Wizard, it requires that I choose Gateway Provider.
Does that mean that I should not use Checkout Wizard since my Gateway provider is not listed there? or there is possibility to Continue with
checkout wizard without choosing Gateway? I am using eCart 4.
Since you guys might have some idea with the above eCarts, How would I go about installing my gateway provider with WebAssist eCart?

If none of the available gateway providers will work for you the checkout would need to be custom to work with eCart. One way you could do this would be to create the checkout for another gateway using the checkout wizard. You could then go back to the checkout and confirm pages and update them to work with your gateway.

This will require custom hand coding though and is not something I would suggest unless you are experienced in this type of thing. The idea is that you would use some documentation from your gateway provider to craft the code needed, wherever you need to make use of values from the cart, like the item price or the total, you would use the eCart bindings for these values.

If I understand you right, to get started to make all the pages that I need, I run Checkout Wizard and choose, say, PayPal. When I get all the pages, I change some parts of the generated pages depending on the my Gateways documentation.
The payment method I am going to use is called Hosted method.
My question to you is then which pages and which parts of the pages are to be changed?

The specific pages that you would need to change after running the checkout wizard would be the checkout and confirm pages.

You would need to ensure that the checkout page was collecting all of the required information for your gateway. For the confirm page this is where you would need to replace the existing code with your new gateway code.

The process is going to be custom and the specific steps that you need to take will be dictated by your requirements for the gateway.
